Recently, our field service crew went to a paper mill to replace an existing turbine gearbox with a spare during a planned 48-hour outage. Before the outage, we verified the dimensions of the existing gearbox and the spare to ensure a smooth installation. The installation did, in fact, go smoothly so that the mill crews were easily able to align the gearbox.
